Dead Weight is now live on X53 After Hours, our new Patreon home for weekly X53 stories, extras, short videos, and behind-the-scenes material between campaigns.
Written by new X53 writer A. Khan with art by Carlos Granda, Dead Weight is a shorter Arachna story: a nobody finds Arachna knocked out cold in a dumpster and decides she's his ticket to a payday. One night, one mob boss, and every possible way for that plan to go wrong.
And yes, it’s canon.
We’re dropping one new illustrated page every week, along with short videos and additional material for readers who want more of the world without waiting for the next big Kickstarter release.
And this is bigger than one story. X53 After Hours is where we’ll be building out more of the universe, with work connected to Arachna, Blood and Brass, Goshawk and Falconet, Tayanna, The Omada, and more.

Arachna 4 Books Are On Their Way

Hi Everyone,
Good news, your books are almost here.
The printed copies of Arachna 4 are scheduled to arrive from the printer at the end of this month. Once they're in hand, we'll begin shipping right away.
We know this took longer than we hoped, and we appreciate your patience through the printing process. These things don't always move on the timeline we'd like, but the books are close now, and we're excited to get them into your hands.
We'll send another update as soon as shipping begins, with tracking info to follow.
In the meantime, we have something new launching soon. On July 1, we're opening an X53 Patreon page. It will feature brand new, shorter stories set across the X53 universe, written by Martti Kauppinen and new writer A. Khan, with original art from Carlos Granda, Val, and Daniel. More details on tiers and what's included will be coming shortly.

Arachna 4 Stretch Goal Prose Stories Are Now Available

The digital file for Arachna: Life Is Short Stories is now available through BackerKit — free to all Arachna 4 backers.
This collection features 11 short prose stories written by Martti Kauppinen, set between Arachna 3 and Arachna 4. More character moments, more danger, more humor, and a few hints of what's coming next. Big shout out to Martti for going above and beyond. This is some of his best work yet.
Here's what's included:
Arachna vs. Kumo — Arachna and Kumo face off in a tense sparring match under Master Ji-ho's watchful eye.
Diabolical Destiny — Doc Diabolique tries to atone for his past, but the monsters he created have plans of their own.
Isla Tayanna — Tayanna fights to survive on an island where prehistoric horrors and old scars refuse to stay buried.

A Date with Arachna — Jennie, Tamara, Meiko, and Arachna collide in a story of jealousy, costumes, and very complicated feelings.
Daughter of Darkness — Kumo faces brutal training, police trouble, and the question of what kind of woman she wants to become.
Group Think — Doctor Morpheus enters the picture, and things take a darker psychological turn.
Battle of Wills — Jennie and Arachna wrestle for control as Lucien Morpheus gets dangerously close to the truth.
